Dainty Horseshoe Chain
This unisex chain is created link by link with hand shaped, 24 gauge stainless steel wire. Considered a double chain, the links are stronger than they look.
Each link of the small horseshoe chain is a tiny 3mm wide and 5mm long.
You can wear this chain as a bracelet, anklet, choker of necklace - just choose the desired chain length. If the length you require isn't listed in the drop down, message me for a custom priced piece.
My stainless steel wire is food grade & free of heavy metals: safe for the birds to beak, hypoallergenic for the peeps.
* Parrot safe does not mean parrot-proof: strong beaks can still damage FeatherWhipped handmade jewelry - They just won't get heavy metal toxicity while doing it. The same potential injury & choking hazard applied if your bird plays with this jewelry. This is not a parrot toy :)

Did you know?
Companion parrots often die from heavy metal toxicity due to playing with jewelry. (keys & makeup brushes, too!). It's known that jewelry components can be high enough in lead & cadmium to be toxic to children, but in my research I discovered that even high quality jewelry components contain zinc, copper, lead & tin - all of which are toxic to parrots. Most jewelry components are brought in from China with no MSDS sheets to check what is in the material. Even with 304 and 316 stainless steel parts!
I spent an entire year sourcing out 304 stainless steel and food grade aluminum made in north america with MSDS sheets to confirm they are free from dangerous heavy metals to protect our flocks :)
