Naturally dyeing silk with plant matter requires more time and patience than using synthetic silk dye. It takes 12 hours just to clean & prep the silk to take natural dye, Then at least 2 hours in a dye vat per colour while playing around with resist binding in between colours. It's always worth the time when experiencing the thrill of unveiling the final result!
