Henna Canada takes pride in producing 100% natural, quality henna cones**. Made fresh to order, our paste blend will not disappoint, and is ideal for professionals or enthusiasts alike.

Henna is a perishable product:  It is crafted and shipped from our fulfillment studio in Fredericton, NB. This means that all orders with henna paste in them MUST ship by the fastest means possible: Either Purolator Courier Air, or Canada Post ExpressPost! 

So to offer henna pre-made cones the best way possible, orders with henna cones will only be shipped on Mondays.

If the paste is a little separated when your cones arrive, massage the cones gently to re-combine the paste, then immediately store in the freezer.

Each cone can make ~3 full hand designs.
If for some reason my cones were rolled a little thin, I will add more cones to use up all of the paste.

Cones must be stored in the freezer & are good for up to 6 months when frozen.
Orders will be shipped with information to care for your paste.

Why can other big name online stores ship cones anywhere no problem?
What they are selling may not be real henna paste. There are many varieties and brands of imitation "henna" chemical cones available for purchase. Unfortunately, if a henna cone is "shelf stable" or "shipping container from overseas" stable, it likely has non-skin approved dyes in preservative-heavy bases, which is putting the wearer at risk. 

Our cones are 100% pure & natural, so they demise quickly when not frozen. (Ie: the natural dye demises, the paste consistency becomes runny and the paste won't stain the skin well after a time outside of the freezer - and that time varies based on ambient temperature). 

We can currently ship to the 10 provinces in Canada, but the territories are a little out of reach for transit time for perishable paste. We have great DIY henna kits for anyone who would like to try their hand at mixing henna paste.

Immediately store your cones in the freezer when they arrive!
If the paste has separated a little in transit, massage the cones to bring it back to paste form.
Cones are good in the freezer for 6 months. You may re-freeze a henna cone, but the paste consistency can change with multiple freezing events.

How to use for the best stain:
Apply henna to clean, dry skin (no lotions). Leave henna paste on the skin for 2-12 hours (the longer the better!) Sealing: When the paste is dry to the touch (10-20 min) it is a good idea to seal the henna by lightly dabbing or spritzing with a solution of sugar-water (ratio of 1:1), or lemon-sugar (ratio of 1:1), or you can seal with medical paper tape. Eventually, pick the henna paste off. Do not wash off. If some paste is really stuck, you can use a food grade oil to help remove it.
Keep area as dry as possible for the next 24 hours (water can interfere with the oxidation / darkening process).
Avoid soaking in water (especially chlorinated), exfoliation, anti-oxidants & petroleum based lotions. Your initial stain will be orange - it will take from 1-3 days for your henna stain to ripen and reach peak colour!

Moisturize the design area often with a food grade oil - especially when the design area will contact water.
